2 days and already a problem...

2 days. That's all this trip was. 2 days.

And, oh my, have I discovered one major problem with my life....

I am WAAAYYY too dependant on my phone!!

I mean I don't do it deliberately, but I have never realised how reliant I am on my phone, and how much I get stressed out when it doesn't do what I want it to do.

I was going to Cambridge to visit family, and little did I know that I was entering a place my phone did not want to venture. I loved the trip! I always look forward to seeing my family in Cambridge...aparantly my phone doesn't! As soon as we passed the "Welcome to Cambridge. Please drive carefully" sign, my phone signal went from a very respectable 3 bars to either "no service" or "emergancy"

I'm not going to lie, that annoyed me a little bit! I paid quite a lot for my phone and suddenly it has lost the in-ability to function as a phone! Even the little special feature of being able to access the internet became nothing. I usually check my facebook online (as you do) but because of my phone's lack of enthusiasm to work, that resulted in another blank screen for me. However, what I can only describe as my "Blonde moment of the day!", I kept staring at my phone, willing it to connect to the internet or grab even just 1 bar of signal. But no, even my puppy dog eyes at my phone (I got some weird looks from the family) wouldn't will it on to work. Dammit!

Now that i'm back home the phone is back to it's usual self, but i'm not. I'm going to start just using my phone for exactly what it is, A PHONE! No longer will Facebook dominate my life, no longer will I panic if my free texts don't work. There are more important things in life than mobile phones and Facebook (believe it or not) and I'm going to start focussing on them, instead of looking down at my phone...

...because you never know what might happen if you look up!

....well you could enjoy the scenery, avoid walking into a lampost etc.

So...What's with the WKD, Chinese and Drama?

I admit the name was a creation of my good friend Becky, but I did add my own touch. Becky said wine.

I don't like wine...I like WKD...quite a lot actually!

So that's the first part dealt with, easy peasy!

So, part numero deux! Chinese.

I LOVE chinese food! And I don't mean in a small way. I mean that if I had the money, I would have chinese food every single day without fail! I don't what is it that I love about it (the juiciness of the chicken, the sweet and sour sauce, the crackling sound of prawn crackers....Geez I've got to stop there it's making me hungry!) but I love chinese food with a passion. However, if a guy (ever) asks me on a date I will not take them to a chinese restaurant! I learned the hard way that chinese food if one of the messiest of foods. This is coming from the girl who went to a chinese restaurant with her family and had to walk home with sweet and sour stains down her very nice (and very new) cream shirt!

Moving on, the Drama!

I am a member of my university's drama society. I love it! It's the one chance to do something I absolutely love with a passion. Well apart from my course but you know what I mean! I didn't mean to join the drama society. I needed a reason to get out of my room, my flat, my life for 4 hours a week (don't ask) and drama offered that getaway! I fell in love with it instantly and I have made some friends that I am going to keep for life!

However, that's not the only aspect of drama related stuff I have. I'm a girl, so (naturally) life is full of drama. I'm not talking Eastenders dramatic (my life hasn't got that bad yet!) but for a teenage girl in university, and only in my first term, it's been pretty darn dramatic!

Oh, and the "A Full Ton of Words" section of my title? That was my friend Ryan making a rather awful pun, but worthy enough to become my title (what was I thinking??)

...only kidding Ryan!

An interesting start....

Well....Hi!

I've got to admit i'm very flattered that you've taken the time to go out of your way from whatever you were doing (updating your status, shopping online, playing Sims or something- the list goes on) to read my first blog post!

My name shall be "H.x" for the purposes of the blog, not only because i'm a fan of "Steps"....

....i'm kidding!

It's because I think it adds a certain level of mystique to the concept of a blog, plus it's my blog I can call myself what I want.

Basically I have been inspired by a univeristy friend of mine to start a blog. God knows what i've let myself in for, because I have no idea what i'm doing, and you're reading this so you have no idea what's going to happen next...

Oh dear i'm drifting a tad off-topic here....I do that a lot, ask anyone!

I'm not a confident person, so it's a relatively big thing for me to open up in such a public manner, but as the year 2012 looms, which if we are to believe it will be our final year (I don't believe it but there you go) then I need to start being a new me!

So here's to an interesting start!
